Teaching Philosophy
My role is to facilitate the transmission of the latest information, knowledge, and concepts to students. Challenging students to take part in class discussions, allowing them to grasp new ideas, and giving them the opportunity to express their opinions on the issues. Students need to have the opportunity to make a personal investment in the educational process. I make every effort to show students how the latest technology is impacting the global marketplace, and I am a strong advocate of making sure students experience real-world concepts.
Professional Profile
I have over 40-years of technical and academic professional experience which began with a 22-year career in the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, and over 10 years as a small business owner in the automotive repair industry. My educational experience began as a substitute school teacher for nine different school districts in Colorado, as a GED instructor for a community college in the Denver area, and as a Business Office Administration instructor for a private college in California. Additionally, I have several years of experience as a professional writer with over 300 articles published for a variety of internet sites, and a published book. I presently volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol helping young people achieve their dreams.
